Ashraf’s leadership is grounded in academic excellence and an unwavering commitment to personal growth. After earning a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Sultan Qaboos University, he pursued a Doctorate in Business Administration at Coventry University, focusing on strategic change and organizational excellence.
Early in his career, Ashraf found his calling in human capital development — recognizing that people are the cornerstone of any successful transformation. This foundational belief would go on to shape every role he undertook, and ultimately, his vision for the energy sector.

Ashraf’s professional journey reads like a blueprint for leadership evolution. He began as a Community Relations Officer at Petroleum Development Oman, where he cultivated stakeholder trust and grassroots understanding. He then expanded his impact at Occidental of Oman Inc., serving as Training & Omanization Team Leader, focusing on national workforce development.
His leadership trajectory accelerated through key roles at Takatuf Oman, Oman Oil Exploration & Production LLC, and Oxea in Germany — each chapter adding layers of international insight, organizational transformation, and operational excellence.
Notably, his tenure as VP of Corporate Affairs at Oman Oil Exploration & Production marked a pivotal moment. Here, he demonstrated an innate ability to align corporate strategy with social responsibility — a philosophy that remains at the core of his leadership today.
