Currently serving as the Deputy CEO and Chief Growth Officer at SAL Saudi Logistics Services, Amer is responsible for leading the group-wide growth strategy, identifying new strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities, driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and fostering innovation. His leadership ensures cross-functional alignment and execution excellence across Saudi Arabia’s logistics ecosystem.
Proven Leadership Across Aviation and Logistics
Amer’s career highlights include significant leadership roles at SAL Saudi Logistics Services, including a recent prior role as President of Ground Handling, where he oversaw commercial and operational activities across all 18 airports in Saudi Arabia. He managed staff, optimized resource allocation, integrated technology solutions, and maintained strong collaboration with airlines and regulatory bodies to ensure safe, effective, and compliant cargo operations.
Between 2018 and 2020, Amer was the Executive Director of Commercial – Global at Saudia Cargo, responsible for delivering business plans that drove robust market share growth and profitability. He led sales teams, developed innovative business processes, and negotiated key trade lane agreements. His tenure also included roles as Regional Director for Europe, Senior Director of Commercial Operations, and Sales Director for the MENAT region where he facilitated expansion of Saudia Cargo’s international footprint through strategic agent appointments and sales growth initiatives.
Early in his career, Amer held sales leadership positions at DHL Express Saudi Arabia and served as a Customer Services Adviser at Grindlays Bank ANZ. This diverse experience has equipped him with a solid foundation in customer relations, commercial strategy, and operational excellence.
